‘folklore’ could be Taylor Swift’s best album yet

In case you didn’t notice, Taylor Swift surprised us all with an unexpected album drop notice only 24 hours before the official release.

In a year that was supposed to be filled with tours and tons of live performances featuring Swift, it instead turned into a year of solitude as the world shut down from the global pandemic. It gave Swift lots of time to write, which ultimately led to the release of her eighth studio album folklore.

The album, which is officially classified as alternative shows a side to Swift we haven’t really seen as she embraces a more “folky” and “singer-songwriter” type sound, a clear diversion from the pop sound she has had over the last several years.

The album features appearances from Bon Iver and The National’s Aaron Dessner, and collaborated by her long time friend Jack Antinoff.

folklore is out now wherever you get your music.
