Burdick Kia is once again teaming up with 93Q to give some needy families here in Central New York a little HOLIDAY CHEER this season!  These families need a little extra help this year, so read about them below and click on their WalMart.com "Wish List" to buy them something to put under the tree. Thank you & Happy Holidays from 93Q the #1 Hit Music Station.

Family #1:
WALMART WISH LIST

A family with three children, ages 17, 6 and 3 is relying on just one income because the husband is out of work from a neck injury.  It has taken every dime they had to move into a new place because of their loss of income.  They do not have enough money for any presents for the kids and their only Christmas wish is to have something to put under the tree.

Family #2:
WALMART WISH LIST

My son lost his wife in March due to cancer and before that, he gave up his job in order to take care of her.  He has lost his apartment now and is struggling just to provide his boys with their basic needs.  He has been living month to month and has no money for any presents. Getting a little help would be a blessing, since they will also be dealing with the first Christmas without their mom and wife.

Family #3:
WALMART WISH LIST

The mother of this family was in a serious car accident in November.  She is still in the hospital and has a long road to recovery.  Please help her two children at home enjoy their Christmas as much as possible.

Family #4:
WALMART WISH LIST

A single mother of two girls, ages eleven and seven.  The mom was working part time and just lost her job.  She only gets enough unemployment to pay for the apartment and even though she is searching, has not yet found a job.  The daughter writes that she hears her mom cry at night because she does not have any money for Christmas.  She would love to help her mom by putting a smile on her face Christmas morning.

Family #5:
WALMART WISH LIST

This man’s wife has Lupus and she is unable to work.  He has three kids from his first marriage and works overtime whenever possible to provide for his children.  He could really use a little help this holiday season.

Family #6:
WALMART WISH LIST

A single mom with three boys, she is going through hard financial times.  Her van is on its last legs and she has no money to get it fixed.  All of her money goes toward rent and feeding her family.  The letter writer says that she was praying for a way to help her co worker and then she heard about this contest.  She hopes that this will help to put some presents underneath the tree for the three boys this Christmas.

Family #7:
WALMART WISH LIST

This woman was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis this year.  She is only 41 and now in a wheelchair and can’t work.  She has to rely on others, but she still tries to remain positive.  She has a daughter and this would be a major help in helping them have a nice Christmas.

Family #8:
WALMART WISH LIST

This woman has three boys and has been in and out of work.  She really needs some extra help for the holidays.  She gave another family a place to stay when they had no other place to go, despite the fact that money is tight.  Being able to have some extra money for Christmas would mean the world to her and her family.

Family #9:
WALMART WISH LIST

A single mother of four has always worked long hours at a nursing home.  She always picked up extra shifts to help support her family.  She was recently laid off and has been going through a real struggle these days.  The father of the children is not involved and she does not receive any help or child support.  Her younger children don’t think there is a problem, since they just told her that Santa will come regardless.  She is hoping that is the case.

Family #10:
WALMART WISH LIST

This family goes to our church.  She has hit a rough patch and is trying to get back on her feet.  She lost her job this past summer.  The bills have been piling up and she has been looking for work, but does not drive so her choices are limited.  She has one daughter who just turned eleven.

Family #11:
WALMART WISH LIST

This couple has two kids, ages 3 and 13.  He is the sole provider of the family because his wife was just laid off.  She now uses her extra time to volunteer at the church food pantry.  They need some holiday cheer because they did not have a very happy Thanksgiving. 

Family #12:
WALMART WISH LIST

This family lost their dairy barn and 150 dairy cows in a terrible fire at the end of November.  This hard working family lost their livelihood and are still just trying to rebuild their job and their personal lives.  They deserve to have as much help as they can this holiday season.

Family #13:
WALMART WISH LIST

A family of five, they just bought their first home this year and money is tight.  She is on disability and cannot work.  She would love her children, ages eleven, ten and five to have a great Christmas despite the fact they there is no extra money this year.

Family #14
WALMART WISH LIST

This couple has three children, 19, 13 and a 22 month old and are struggling just to buy even necessities this year. She started working a few months ago to try to help provide for the family but her health conditions proved too much and she was quickly taken out of the workforce. Words cannot begin to describe how grateful she would be to have presents to put under her Christmas tree for her family.
