WE'RE FINALLY LEGAL!
Are you sitting down? Can you believe that today marks the 21st anniversary of the Ted & Amy show on 93Q??? Twenty one years Amy & I have been waking up Central New York. I know that a 21st anniversary usually isn't that big a deal, but trust me, in radio, that's like a lifetime. Radio years are very similar to dog years. Each one counts for like 7 or 8! We both would like to thank all of you for tuning in each day, whether you're new to the whole Ted & Amy thing or you've been one of our loyal listeners over the last couple of decades. This morning we'll be taking calls on how you celebrated your 21st birthday. I plan on taking a nap and having some soup...

NEW PLATES SOON
Well soon begin to see the new Empire Gold License plate representing the great state of New York. The State Dept. of Motor Vehicles unveiled the license plate yesterday which will be issued to most vehicles registered in the state beginning in April. The new plate is gold with dark blue letters and numbers separated by a small dark blue silhouette of the New York State. State officials say the new plate will bring around 129 million dollars in revenue to the state in the next two years. Youll be able to get a new plate when you register or re-register a vehicle in May. It will cost you 25 dollars. These new plates kind of resemble the old yellow and blue license plates we had when I was a kid. I remember my grandfather's plate was something like SR-1, and it wasn't personalized, either. I think he had one of the first cars in New York State!
IS THAT A FACE OFF IN THE CORNER?
They said they were going to do it, and now it looks like an outdoor hockey game with the Syracuse Crunch is definitely becoming a reality. The Crunch announced the game yesterday outside at the New York State Fairgrounds has been set for February 20th against Binghamton. Senator Chuck Schumer was a big proponent of the match and is hoping to bring in some funds to help. But most of the cost will be picked up by the Crunch. They hope to bring in 10 to 25 thousand people.
HELP THE HUMANE ASSOCIATION
The Humane Association of CNY, located at 4915 b1/2 West Taft Road, has been in need of a roof for some time. The roof that is located on the back portion of the shelter is in great disrepair and it houses all the puppies, dogs, incoming and sickly animals. The need is now at a critical point and with the winter rolling in, we dont think the roof will hold if we have a bad winter. Its been leaking and will be very cold for the animals, said Bruce Shafiroff, Board President. We are looking for a roofer or a few roofers that would work together who could donate time and supplies. We know its a lot to ask and are working on grants, but it takes time and luck, and right now we need a roof above their heads", Shafiroff added. If anyone is interested in helping or would like to take a look at what needs to be repaired, please contact Bethann Kistner at 415-1357.
